The works in the show span 2010-2012.The ink & wash drawings were inspired while on a trip to Stevens Point,Wisconsin .The influences of Paul Travis & Charles Burchfield, always there. These works are new discovery in the print medium for me after seeing a 1920 s show of Karumu artists at the Maltz Museum. The prints in the show inspired me to make my own wood block prints.Ive always loved prints though this is the first time making them. The series is called 'mystery forest'.The works are mainly imaginary and influenced by nature. This is the first time the prints have been exhibited. To add variety, I've included watercolors, and acrylics works.Hope you enjoy the show.

McNamara has worked as a security guard since 1986, making him one of the most veteran artists and protection personnel. His vibrantly colorful narrative and impressionist pieces include landscapes of Shaker Lakes. "I come from Cleveland, where there are so many gray days," he says. "I need color to keep me upbeat."
For the past two decades, McNamara has organized
shows of Cleveland Museum of Art employees. "[The museum] is like a
mecca for artists," he says. "The nature of the place attracts creative
people. It's inspiring to spend your days looking at paintings by the
best of the best."
